Echo died on January 8, 2005. Echo was a female from our first litter out of Akita back in
1996. Echo was NAVHDA natural Ability tested on April 25, 1998.She earned a Prize 3,
96 points on a cold and rainy day. Echo is an excellent retriever and tracker. She whelped
three litters, one in August 1999, one in March of 2001, and her last was in August 2002.
She has had 11 all three times, 30 out of 33 pups were raised successfully.
Our March 2001 litter had enough pups NAVHDA tested to get a NAVHDA Natural
Ability Breeders Award and a SMCNA Breeders Award. Echo is at the maximum allowable
for height and her hunting weight is about 54 lbs. She has very good conformation as well as
an excellent temperament. She has the roan coloration, as opposed to the brown and white
(Whip), like her mother. Except for her size, she was in fact almost a carbon copy of her
mother in temperament and mannerisms.
