Barney was a bigger dog with lots of drive. We used him in 1996 for our A litter with Akita.
He had tons of natural ability and like his father, Fritz, passed it on to his progeny. He would
probably be a good choice for someone with a female that was smaller than average due to his
size being at the top end of the standard.

We are very pleased to announced that Gosch Kennels has acquired all of the remaining frozen
semen from Barney. The semen is currently being stored at a Synbiotics facility in California.
Synbiotics is one of the oldest and most respected cryogenic companies in the United States.

Barney Progeny NAVHDA Testing Information

According to SMCNA Database Information Barney has sired 28 puppies to date. Of those 17
have been run in the NAVHDA Natural Ability test. 3 pups received Prize I scores, 5 pups
received Prize II scores, 6 pups received Prize III scores, and 3 received No Prize.

At the Utility level Barney pups were also successful. 4 different Barney pups have been UT
tested with three receiving a Prize II and one receiving a Prize III.
